Alchemy Tiles is an award-winning Cornwall-based studio creating bespoke hand-carved encaustic ceramic tiles and contemporary ceramic artworks for luxury interiors. Founded by artist-maker Mel Chambers, the studio revives a rare 13th-century encaustic inlay technique, creating one-of-a-kind pieces where every design is carved entirely by hand rather than produced using moulds.
Working with interior designers, architects and private clients, Alchemy Tiles creates bespoke installations for kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, architectural features, outdoor spaces and statement interiors. Each commission is individually designed in response to the architecture, surrounding environment and the stories of the people who live there.
For Decorex 2026, Alchemy Tiles is delighted to be collaborating with AGA, bringing together two distinctive approaches to British craftsmanship, enduring design and highly individual interiors. An AGA cooker will form part of the Alchemy Tiles stand, creating an inspiring setting in which to demonstrate how beautifully crafted surfaces and iconic design can come together at the heart of the home.

Today’s AGA cookers combine the distinctive radiant heat and cast-iron cooking for which AGA is loved with greater control and flexibility for contemporary life. Available in a curated palette of colours, with AGA Bespoke offering custom colour matching and personalised detailing, each cooker is designed to become an enduring part of the home.
Also launching at Decorex 2026 is the new Alchemy Modular™ Table Centrepieces collection, an original concept transforming hand-carved ceramic artwork into modular, functional centrepieces. Individual elements separate during dining to protect surfaces from hot serving dishes and tableware, before sliding back together to reform a sculptural work of art.
Visitors can also explore Alchemy Tiles’ contemporary ceramic wall art and watch live hand-carving demonstrations throughout the show, offering a rare opportunity to see this centuries-old process being practised entirely freehand.
