Verity PulfordMS02I am an artist-maker living and working in Denbighshire, North Wales. The natural environment that surrounds me here in Wales is the focus of my work.
I make wall based installation and sculpture using a range of glass and ceramic techniques.
My fascination lies in the complexity of life, particularly the intricate structures and growth patterns found in nature. I am interested in cryptogamic plants such as lichens, mosses, and algae, as well as fungi, and the textures and forms of marine creatures, invertebrates, and coral.
I often explore ideas of magical realism, creating hybrid forms inspired by, or combining, different plants and organisms.
I work with art consultants, interior designers, architects, galleries, healthcare organisations, and private clients to create bespoke glass artworks and installations for both public and private spaces.
Whether developing a site-specific installation, a feature wall piece, or a unique commission, I enjoy working collaboratively to create artwork that responds to its environment and the people who will experience it. From the initial concept through to installation, I aim to make the commissioning process enjoyable, straightforward, and rewarding.
Drawing on almost two decades of experience as a professional artist, I bring technical expertise, creativity, and careful attention to detail to every project. My work has been commissioned for hospitals, public buildings, galleries, and private collections, and I am experienced in collaborating with clients, architects, designers, and specialist fabricators where required.
