Tessuto

Drawing inspiration from a handwoven fabric with delicate scalloped edges. Tessuto is a celebration of texture, tactility, and traditional craftsmanship. The rug’s name, italian for fabric reflects its origin story, where a textile artistry formed a rich, dimensional floor piece. Crafted from entirely natural materials, Tessutto is hand-knotted using a blend of 2-line wool and 2-line nettle and cactus, chosen for their raw beauty and distinctive textures. Working closely with our artisans in Nepal, we explored scalloped contours and intricate weaving techniques to recreate the tactile richness of fabric in a rug form. The result is a striking high-low pile that offers both visual rhythm and sculptural presence. The rug is made by weaving 2 lines of wool, 2 lines of nettle/cactus.
